Coach (Tapestry) seeks a District Manager, NA Retail in Chicago to lead 12 stores, drive sales and develop store leadership.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and drive all aspects of the retail business across the district — sales, customer service, clienteling, operations, and visual presentation — to deliver a consistent modern luxury store experience.
- Develop, coach and hold accountable store leadership (Multi‑Managers/Store Managers) to achieve sales targets, operational excellence and exceptional customer service.
- Analyze district KPIs and market data; identify performance gaps and opportunities and implement corrective action plans in partnership with store teams and corporate stakeholders.
- Partner with retail merchandising, planning and buying teams to provide market and customer insights, optimize assortment and maximize merchandise turn.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, adherence to loss prevention and operational standards, and consistent execution of Coach corporate directives across all stores.
- Recruit, onboard and develop managerial talent; run regular training, performance reviews and succession planning to strengthen the leadership pipeline.
- Act as visible brand ambassador in stores; recognize and reward top performers and model Coach’s customer‑centric service standards.
- Travel regularly to all district locations to audit standards, support store execution and represent the district to senior management.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive retail experience in a comparable environment, including 3+ years managing multiple stores (or equivalent Coach multi‑store management experience).
- Proven ability to lead, develop and inspire management teams to deliver strong sales and service results.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience using KPIs to drive decisions, forecast performance and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present market insights and recommend solutions to senior leadership.
- Proactive problem solver with strategic thinking and sound decision‑making in ambiguous, fast‑paced contexts.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the district.

Experience
Minimum 10+ years in retail with at least 3+ years of multi‑store or district management responsibility; a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience will be considered.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Marketing or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
