Kate Spade New York seeks an experienced District Leader to manage multi-unit retail operations in New England. Lead teams, drive sales, and shape brand experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all retail business operations across eight stores, including customer service, clienteling, sales performance, and team development
- Cultivate a proactive selling culture focused on long-term client relationships and elevated shopping experiences through coaching and personal engagement
- Develop store teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences and execute strategic initiatives across the district
- Manage with integrity and fairness, promoting Kate Spade's culture, values, and vision to direct reports and key stakeholders
- Review store environments and key business indicators with Regional Management to identify opportunities for improvement and provide coaching to Store Managers
- Create and implement retention and succession planning strategies for the district
- Serve as a brand ambassador, actively promoting Kate Spade in the marketplace and ensuring fashion awareness among employees and customers
- Communicate strategic vision and clear directions to team; create innovative strategies aligned with short and long-term business goals
- Collaborate with Regional Director and cross-functional partners to establish district objectives that support overall company vision
- Provide market intelligence on customer trends, competitive landscape, and local shopping behaviors to Buying, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising teams
- Manage budget performance while identifying and maximizing sales opportunities in partnership with district and store leaders
- Travel approximately 30% to support multi-unit oversight and field leadership activities
Qualifications
- 10+ years of management experience in multi-unit retail environments
- Proven ability to create and execute retail strategies that deliver measurable results
- Demonstrated track record of attracting and developing exceptional talent
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills in forecasting, planning, and budgeting
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proactive problem-solving orientation with ability to assess issues and develop action steps
- Ability to think broadly, consider multiple perspectives, and reach logical conclusions serving the organization's interests
- Brand awareness and understanding of fashion trends and retail market dynamics

Skills
Experience
10+ years of progressive management experience in multi-unit retail environments, with demonstrated success in leading teams, driving sales growth, and implementing operational strategies. Experience in luxury or contemporary fashion retail preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 135,000 to USD 145,000 per annum.
