Kate Spade New York seeks a District Leader in Houston, TX to oversee 11 stores across Texas/South Texas/Gulf Coast.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead all retail activities for the district (11 Outlet and Specialty doors), ensuring a consistent modern‑luxury customer experience across locations.
  • Drive sales, clienteling and long‑term customer relationships by establishing a proactive selling culture and participating in customer engagement when required.
  • Coach, develop and retain store leadership and sales teams through training, performance management, succession planning and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Merchandising/Buying, Visual, Planning, Marketing, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance) to align district tactics with company objectives and local market needs.
  • Analyze business metrics; forecast, plan and manage district budgets while identifying and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Monitor market, competitor and fashion trends; provide district‑level input to Buying and Marketing on assortment, local relevance and visual merchandising.
  • Act as a visible brand ambassador in the marketplace and ensure brand standards and operational excellence are implemented at store level.
  • Conduct regular district reviews with Regional leadership to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of retail management experience in a multi‑unit environment; combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Resides in Texas and able to travel approximately 30% of the time.
  • Proven track record of creating strategies and delivering measurable business results across multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and retain high‑performing retail talent.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess issues and implement effective action plans.

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 130,000 to USD 150,000 per annum.
