Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, lead, and communicate the merchandising product and assortment strategy for Outlet Handbags and Small Leathergoods
  • Create relevant, cohesive, and brand-aligned product assortments that drive business growth while balancing newness with current customer needs
  • Partner with Design and Product Development to build and execute assortments that address brand strategies and costing targets for margin maintenance
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with Global Merchandise Planning and Business Units to identify product opportunities and drive global objectives
  • Collaborate with merchandising peers to ensure synergy across total product strategy and execution
  • Conduct weekly sales analysis to understand business performance and make data-driven recommendations for growth
  • Identify product opportunities through hindsight analysis incorporating consumer research, business feedback, and sales performance trends
  • Maintain comprehensive awareness of competitive landscape through store visits, online review, market analysis, and trend identification
  • Track and analyze key competitor distribution and pricing strategies
  • Manage team to meet key deliverables while supporting their growth and professional development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • 10+ years of merchandising and buying experience with focus on leathergoods
  • Minimum 4+ years of people management experience
  • Excellent product sensibility with on-trend vision and strong taste level
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Design teams to translate brand vision into compelling product assortments
  • Previous experience owning product assortment and development
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail mathematics and financial acumen
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements
  • Exceptional communicator across all organizational levels
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with ability to motivate and develop teams
