Kate Spade New York seeks a Director of FP&A in New York to lead financial planning, forecasting, and team management for the NA DTC organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close and forecast processes for the NA DTC organization, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Partner with NA DTC leadership and regional finance leads to drive operational efficiencies and P&L optimization
- Oversee capital investment management and monitor return on investment (ROI) across key business initiatives
- Consolidate global financial statements and complete deliverables for Tapestry corporate FP&A
- Lead strategic financial long-range planning (LRP) and annual operating plan (AOP) development for the NA DTC organization
- Drive ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects in response to evolving business priorities
- Develop, mentor, and manage a team of three direct reports, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Serve as a trusted financial thought partner to senior leadership, presenting insights and recommendations with clarity and strategic perspective
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a highly analytical financial role; retail industry experience preferred
- Expert-level proficiency in Excel and advanced financial modeling
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Hyperion, and/or Smart View
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Strong forecasting and planning methodologies with a demonstrated focus on accuracy and data integrity

Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in a highly analytical financial role with exposure to forecasting, planning, and financial consolidation. Experience in the retail sector is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success building financial plans, managing complex P&L statements, and leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline; MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is preferred but not required.
