Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, build and operate robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support analytics, BI and machine-learning use cases.
  • Develop and maintain data models, schemas and documentation to ensure a single source of truth for product, commerce and customer datasets.
  • Implement data ingestion and streaming solutions for batch and near‑real‑time sources, ensuring data quality and lineage.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimize performance and cost of data processing workloads in cloud environments; monitor, profile and tune pipelines.
  • Establish testing, observability and alerting (data validation, SLA tracking, pipeline health) for production data systems.
  • Enforce data governance, security and privacy best practices when handling PII and regulated data.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, code reviews and platform roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related discipline; Master’s preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines and data platforms; retail, e‑commerce or consumer brands experience is advantageous.
  • Proven experience with cloud data platforms and services, and delivering end‑to‑end data solutions.
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience with distributed data processing frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across analytics, product and engineering stakeholders and translate business needs into technical deliverables.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security controls and privacy regulations relevant to customer data.

Experience
