Coach (Tapestry) seeks a Coordinator, Architecture in New York, NY to support retail architecture, construction documentation, and project coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the architecture and store-design team in project delivery for retail stores and corporate spaces, from schematic design through job closeout.
- Prepare and maintain technical construction documents, shop drawings, and detail sets using CAD and BIM workflows.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (merchandising, retail ops, visual merchandising) and external partners (architects, contractors, vendors) to ensure design intent and schedule adherence.
- Track project schedules, budgets, RFI logs, submittals, and change orders; escalate risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Assist with permitting processes and ensure compliance with local building codes and accessibility standards.
- Perform site visits and construction administration as required; document progress and produce punch lists.
- Review finishes, FF&E specifications and procurement packages to support purchasing and vendor fabrication.
- Maintain project filing, version control, and drawing management systems; produce as-built drawings at project close.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in architectural coordination, construction documentation, or retail/store design—experience with luxury retail is preferred.
- Proven ability to produce clear, code-compliant construction drawings and technical details.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Effective communicator capable of liaising with cross-functional internal teams and external consultants.

Approximately 2–5 years of practical experience in architecture, construction documentation, construction administration, or retail/store design. Prior exposure to luxury retail environments or brand-driven design programs is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
