Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain competitive compensation structures and variable pay programs for the North Asia region, ensuring alignment with global total rewards strategy.
  • Lead market benchmarking, job evaluation and grading processes to inform salary bands, pay-for-performance frameworks and promotion cycles across multiple markets (e.g., Greater China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan).
  • Administer and optimise benefits offerings, liaising with brokers and vendors to manage medical, retirement, wellness and mobility programs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with local regulations.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and local leadership to provide total rewards guidance for hiring, talent retention, performance calibration and succession planning.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and reporting across North Asian jurisdictions; coordinate with payroll and legal teams on tax, social security and expatriate arrangements.
  • Develop and deliver clear communications and training to managers and employees on pay philosophy, compensation processes and benefits enrolment.
  • Analyse compensation and benefits data, preparing regular dashboards and executive reports to inform leadership decisions and budget planning.
  • Manage regional rewards projects and change initiatives, including system implementations, harmonisation programs and M&A integration when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., CCP, GPHR) preferred.
  • Proven expertise in total rewards design and execution across multiple North Asian markets with deep familiarity of local statutory requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated experience influencing senior leaders and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of analytical capability, with experience using compensation modelling, market data and financial metrics to shape recommendations.
  • Demonstrable project management experience, including leading regional rollouts and system implementations.
