Kate Spade (Tapestry) seeks an Associate Merchandiser in New York to support assortment planning, inventory management and commercial analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support assortment planning and seasonal merchandise flow across handbag, accessories and soft home categories.
- Monitor sell‑through, inventory levels and open‑to‑buy; prepare weekly and monthly cadence reports to inform allocation and replenishment decisions.
- Produce and maintain merchandising reports, sell‑in/sell‑through analyses and SKU‑level performance reviews for trading and planning teams.
- Collaborate with design, production, planning and wholesale teams to translate commercial objectives into product assortments and launch plans.
- Assist with pricing, markdown strategy and promotional planning to maximize margin and turnover.
- Maintain product and assortment data integrity within merchandising/ERP systems and support calendar and launch logistics.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in retail or wholesale merchandising, merchandise planning, retail analytics, or related commercial role.
- Proven ability to analyze sales and inventory data to inform commercial decisions.
- Strong attention to detail with experience managing SKU‑level data and product lifecycles.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication skills and experience working with design, planning and commercial teams.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing requests in a fast‑paced seasonal environment.

Experience
Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience in merchandising, assortment planning, retail buying or commercial planning within fashion or accessories preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
