Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Design, Product Development and Merchandising teams to create, maintain and pass product specifications from concept through production.
- Collaborate with designers during proto rounds to ensure specs reflect design intent and verify sketches and dimensions for accuracy.
- Assist Tech Designer and Senior Tech Designer with final bulk pass-off, executing product spec updates and ensuring post-market changes are approved by design.
- Ensure specification consistency across factories and seasons and assist in review and correction of post-market samples.
- Create and maintain digital design detail and standards libraries; research product functionality and market trends.
- Produce CAD and artwork as required using Illustrator and Photoshop and support presentation set-up and design workroom organization.
- Be flexible to work on-site as needed according to the development calendar.
Qualifications
- 0–3 years of relevant experience in technical design or product development, preferably within handbags or accessories.
- College degree in fashion design or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop required.
- Strong written and verbal communication and email etiquette.
- Excellent organizational skills and detailed note taking.
- Construction knowledge preferred; ability to interpret construction and trim details.
- Willingness to work in-office as required by the development schedule.
