Coach in Williamsburg, VA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to lead sales, operations and team development for the Coach boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in meeting and exceeding sales targets through forecasting, planning and execution of category and promotional initiatives; monitor KPIs and adapt tactics to improve performance.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor to deliver Coach service standards, resolve customer issues promptly and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop store team members; create a high-energy, collaborative environment and build a pipeline of talent aligned with the brand vision.
  • Drive omni-channel engagement: support virtual shopping, clienteling and consumer data capture; leverage social media trends to enhance store-level acquisition and retention.
  • Ensure operational excellence by overseeing scheduling, payroll, HR processes, loss prevention, vendor relationships, health and safety, and adherence to visual merchandising standards.
  • Collaborate with district and corporate leadership to interpret market trends, inform store strategy and contribute insights to cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in retail or service environments; luxury or fashion retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to exceed performance expectations and to coach toward measurable development outcomes.
  • Strong customer orientation with a proven track record of delivering exceptional client experiences in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail point-of-sale or store management systems; familiarity with clienteling and omni-channel retail practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays; ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs).

Experience
