Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Perth, Australia to support store leadership, omnichannel sales and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model and enforce Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards to cultivate a high-energy, client-focused sales floor.
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including clienteling, loyalty outreach and management of client records.
- Coach and develop store associates through recruitment, onboarding, regular coaching and performance management; act as Store Leader when required.
- Own store sales plans, forecasts and KPI delivery (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR); create and execute action plans to address business opportunities.
- Maintain brand and visual merchandising standards; execute visual directives and ensure an impeccable store environment.
- Oversee operational processes including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, payroll scheduling, loss prevention and inventory accuracy.
- Partner with corporate teams to analyse market and sell-through data, communicate trends and translate insights into local programmes.
- Leverage social media trends and manage live stream shopping sessions to drive engagement and sales.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable retail environment; combinations of education and experience considered.
- Demonstrated leadership with proven ability to recruit, coach and develop diverse retail teams and manage underperformance.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience setting and delivering against sales plans and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills; ability to create an inclusive, motivating store culture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and experience with retail point-of-sale and stock systems.
- High level of English language proficiency.

Experience
At least 2 years of frontline retail management experience in a fashion or lifestyle environment, with responsibility for people leadership, sales targets and store operations.
Education
Secondary education required; tertiary qualification in retail, business or a related discipline preferred. A combination of relevant education and demonstrable retail experience will be considered.
