Coach is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Edmonton, Alberta. Join Coach (Tapestry) to lead retail sales, team development and omni‑channel client engagement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager to achieve sales targets through forecasting, planning and execution of category and promotional initiatives; monitor KPIs and refine in-store strategies.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor to deliver Coach service standards and exceptional client experiences, resolving customer issues and acting as a visible brand ambassador.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and develop store team members; build a collaborative culture and maintain a strong talent pipeline aligned to brand objectives.
  • Drive omni-channel client engagement including virtual shopping, clienteling and customer data acquisition; leverage social and digital trends to enhance the customer journey.
  • Ensure operational compliance across HR, scheduling, payroll, loss prevention, vendor relationships and visual merchandising; maintain store safety and inventory controls.
  • Collaborate with district and corporate teams to interpret market trends, contribute to store strategy and support cross‑functional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in retail or service industries; luxury/fashion retail experience preferred.
  • Demonstrable customer focus with the ability to perform in a high‑velocity retail environment and meet measurable sales targets.
  • Proven ability to motivate and coach teams to exceed performance expectations and deliver exemplary service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Physical ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and to climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre within sales floor and stockroom.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.

Experience

Minimum of one year in a supervisory or leadership role within retail or a client-facing service environment; prior experience in luxury or fashion retail is an asset. A combination of relevant education and hands-on experience will be considered.

High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, retail management or fashion is an asset. Combination of education and experience accepted.

This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 27 to CAD 31 per hour.
