Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Woodburn, OR to lead omni-channel sales, team development and store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Store Leader to maximize store productivity, profitability and KPI performance through coaching, performance management and operational rigor.
  • Model and enforce Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards to maintain a high-energy, client-focused environment.
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including clienteling, outreach, loyalty engagement and live stream shopping.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop diverse retail talent; provide ongoing coaching, manage underperformance and act as Store Leader in their absence.
  • Own store sales plans, forecasts and action plans; analyze market and selling data with corporate partners to optimize assortment and execution.
  • Champion brand and visual standards; execute visual directives and communicate sell-through, stock trends and customer feedback.
  • Oversee operational functions including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, inventory accuracy, scheduling and payroll management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, loss prevention, safety standards and accurate customer data capture to support marketing and repeat business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience accepted.
  • Proven leadership, communication and organizational capabilities with experience coaching to results and managing KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; prior experience with retail systems and selling/report analysis.
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends and take immediate corrective action to drive sales.
  • Flexible availability to work nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

Experience

At least 2 years of progressive retail management experience in fashion or lifestyle retail, with demonstrated success in leading teams, achieving sales targets and managing store operations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or an associate degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.

The successful candidate will be located in Woodburn, Oregon, USA, with easy access to Portland.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
