Kate Spade New York in St. Augustine, FL is hiring an Assistant Store Leader to lead omni-channel sales and retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviours and elevate client experience across the sales floor.
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling; manage clienteling through client books, outreach and loyalty programmes.
- Coach and develop store associates; recruit, onboard and manage performance to build a diverse, high-performing team.
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; monitor KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and execute action plans to achieve results.
- Act as Store Leader in their absence and foster an inclusive, motivating store culture.
- Maintain brand and visual standards; execute visual directives and communicate product sell-through and customer feedback.
- Oversee operational discipline including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, loss prevention, inventory cycle counts and shipment accuracy.
- Manage schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing to meet business demand (including nights, weekends, holidays).
- Leverage live stream shopping and social media trends to drive customer engagement and traffic.
- Capture customer data to support marketing, repeat business and targeted outreach.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching and communication skills with experience managing KPIs and driving sales results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; experience with retail systems and selling-report analysis.
- Comfortable with omni-channel retailing, clienteling and virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre sales floor and stockroom.
Skills
Experience
At least two years of retail management experience in a fashion or lifestyle environment; proven ability to lead teams, manage P&L-influencing KPIs and execute store-level merchandising and operational standards.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework or degree in business, retail management or a related field preferred. A combination of education and relevant retail experience is acceptable.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
