Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Deer Park, NY to lead retail operations, omni-channel sales and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the sales floor to deliver exceptional client service and Kate Spade selling standards, modelling service behaviours and fostering a client-focused environment.
- Drive omni-channel performance and virtual selling initiatives, including clienteling, loyalty outreach, and data capture to grow repeat business.
- Recruit, onboard and develop a diverse retail team; provide coaching, performance management and succession support; act as Store Leader in their absence.
- Own store sales plans, forecasts and KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR); create and execute action plans to meet and exceed goals.
- Maintain brand and visual merchandising standards; execute corporate visual directives and communicate sell-through and customer feedback.
- Manage daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, scheduling and payroll budgets, loss prevention and inventory accuracy.
- Leverage live stream shopping and social media trends to increase engagement and drive revenue.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience considered.
- Proven leadership with strong communication, coaching and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; experience using retail systems.
- Analytical capability to interpret selling reports, identify trends and execute corrective actions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; able to climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre stockroom and sales floor.

Experience
At least 2+ years of retail management experience in a fashion or lifestyle environment; demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets and developing retail teams. A combination of related education and experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant post‑secondary education or retail management training preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 38.25 per hour.
