Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Auburn, WA to lead sales, clienteling and store operations at The Outlet Collection Seattle.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Co-lead store operations with the Store Leader to maximize productivity and profitability through coaching, merchandising and process discipline.
  • Model and instill Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards to create a high-energy, client-focused environment.
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling, including clienteling, loyalty outreach and live stream shopping to increase engagement and repeat business.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop diverse retail talent; set goals, review KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and manage performance.
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; create and execute action plans to address opportunities and optimize sell-through.
  • Maintain brand and visual merchandising standards; execute visual directives and communicate stock and customer feedback to corporate teams.
  • Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, scheduling, payroll budgets, loss prevention and inventory accuracy.
  • Support community and recruiting initiatives to increase local brand awareness.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable environment; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven leadership with strong communication, coaching and organisational skills.
  • Ability to analyse selling reports, identify trends and translate insights into quick corrective action.
  • Capacity to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and manoeuvre the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience

At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a retail environment (fashion, lifestyle or similar); demonstrated success coaching teams to meet sales and service KPIs.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, retail management or related field preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
