Kate Spade (Tapestry) seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Arcadia, CA — retail leadership role driving sales, clienteling, team development and operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Leader to maximize store productivity and profitability through leadership, coaching and operational discipline.
- Model and enforce Kate Spade service behaviours and selling standards; drive a high-energy, client-focused sales environment.
- Lead omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives including clienteling, client books, outreach, loyalty programs and live stream shopping.
- Recruit, onboard and develop diverse talent; set goals, review KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and coach to results; act as Store Leader in their absence.
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create and implement action plans to address business opportunities and sell-through trends.
- Execute visual merchandising directives to maintain brand standards and an impeccable store presentation.
- Manage day-to-day operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, schedules, payroll budgets, loss prevention and inventory accuracy.
- Capture and communicate customer data, feedback and market intelligence to corporate partners to optimize assortment and local strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience accepted.
- Proven ability to recruit, coach and manage teams; experience addressing underperformance and developing direct reports.
- Demonstrated competency analyzing selling reports, identifying trends and reacting quickly to business indicators.
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills with the ability to drive results in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods; ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

Experience
At least two years in retail management within fashion, accessories or lifestyle retail with hands-on experience in omni-channel selling, KPI management, recruiting and operational control (cash handling, inventory, loss prevention).
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred. A combination of education and relevant retail management experience will be considered.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 38.25 per hour.
