Coach (Tapestry) — Assistant Manager, Store Design in Shanghai: support store openings, renovations and retail design across Greater China.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support management of new store openings, renovations and enhancement projects across Greater China from feasibility through store opening.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising, Sales, Business Development, Construction, ISPC and Procurement to align design intent, timelines and budgets.
- Conduct local site reviews with business development teams to verify design intent and operational requirements and to resolve site-specific issues.
- Review and update construction and millwork drawings to ensure accuracy of dimensions, materials and specifications.
- Assist with local creative sample review and approval to accelerate decision-making and reduce iterations.
- Partner with Visual Merchandising and buying teams to ensure appropriate store zoning and product presentation.
- Adjust project scopes and specifications as necessary to meet evolving business needs and budget constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in architecture, drafting or retail store design.
- Experience reviewing architectural and millwork drawings and coordinating construction documentation.
- Fluent in English (required).
- Highly organized, self-starting, able to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communicator with demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while supporting leadership.
Skills
Experience
Minimum three years of hands-on experience in architecture, drafting or retail design with direct exposure to store openings, renovations or retail environment projects; experience reviewing construction and millwork drawings is preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design preferred.
