Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist Manager in creating Global category line architecture while considering individual Market needs and business trends
  • Participate in development milestone meetings including Sketch Review, Line Pricing, Proto Review, Market Edits, and Internal Market Presentation
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Design, Production, and cross-functional partners to execute seasonal assortments from concept to market launch
  • Own data entry and maintenance in EC Vision retail software, ensuring data integrity and managing all systems-related communications
  • Manage market preparation including sample organization, showroom and system setup, and market materials coordination
  • Manage market communication with Business Units regarding style additions, changes, and assortment modifications
  • Analyze global sales, feedback, and historical data on weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to optimize future assortments and communicate trends to Design
  • Analyze competitive landscape to identify market trends, gaps in current business, and growth opportunities
  • Act as departmental liaison for cross-category special projects, including collaborations
  • Manage creative requests including style naming, marketing special projects, packaging, and hang tag requests
  • Maintain Product Knowledge File seasonally to ensure accuracy of information for all internal stakeholders
  • Maintain seasonal metrics files to track key performance indicators including SKU count, adoption ratio, global alignment, and margin

Qualifications

  • College degree required
  • 1–3 years' relevant merchandising or buying experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills with demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Ability to utilize and master internal software systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in fashion and merchandising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Retail math training and ability to read and interpret sales data
  • Preferred: College degree in merchandising or related field
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience as an Assistant Merchandiser or Assistant Buyer
  • Preferred: Experience in the Leathergoods category
