Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee preventative maintenance and repair programs for retail store locations, ensuring facilities are safe, functional and brand-compliant.
- Partner with cross-functional teams — including store design, construction, visual merchandising, store operations, loss prevention and IT — on maintenance-related projects and store rollouts.
- Build, maintain and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors; oversee vendor selection, performance and contract execution.
- Manage the facilities platform and work order lifecycle, ensuring requests are prioritized, tracked and closed accurately and promptly.
- Evaluate and validate maintenance proposals and invoices to confirm scope of work and costs align with delivered services.
- Identify operational challenges; proactively recommend and implement practical solutions to minimize disruption and cost.
- Drive quality-control initiatives and continuous process improvements across store maintenance workflows.
- Meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment while balancing competing priorities and emergent issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years' professional experience within the retail industry or a related facilities/construction environment.
- Familiarity with store operations, store design, architecture and the retail construction lifecycle.
- Experience or working knowledge of construction management and contract administration.
- Proven vendor management experience and comfort overseeing contractors on-site.
- Strong analytical, planning, organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal presence.
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, prioritize multiple projects and operate with limited supervision.
- Diplomacy and composure when managing high-pressure situations and sensitive issues.

Experience
At least 2 years' experience in retail facilities, construction, store maintenance, or a related environment; experience working with contractors and in-store operations is preferred.
Education
College degree or related post-secondary education preferred; relevant technical or facilities-related training considered an asset.
