Tapestry seeks an Assistant Manager for retail store construction projects in Singapore. Lead construction initiatives across Southeast Asia and ANZ for Coach and Kate Spade New York.
Role & Responsibilities
- Take ownership and manage small to medium-sized new store projects, enhancements, fixture drops, and rollout initiatives from inception through completion
- Assist managers in successful delivery of large-scale construction projects
- Coordinate with property owners and landlords to understand site conditions, fit-out requirements, local building codes, timelines, and approvals
- Consolidate detailed site survey packages from vendors for the Tapestry Architecture team to enable accurate project design
- Develop critical project timelines and schedules using Microsoft Project
- Forecast, track, and manage comprehensive project budgets across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Exercise tender and bidding processes with various contractors and vendors
- Consolidate cost evaluations and invoices for project summaries and reporting
- Manage millwork deliveries in conjunction with Tapestry Supply Chain and Production teams
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to achieve financial and timeline objectives
- Coordinate with architects and contractors to execute store designs from headquarters
- Review construction fit-out and fixture shop drawings from contractors and vendors
- Produce weekly status reports tracking all project stages including landlord feedback, design development, material orders, and vendor/contractor progress
- Conduct site inspections during construction phases, produce punch lists, and prepare Post Occupancy Evaluations
- Execute budgetary project close-out within 90-day timeframes
- Follow up on all construction and manufacturing warranties
- Provide technical support and assistance to Store Operations and Wholesale teams on maintenance and small-scale projects
- Develop and maintain historical construction cost data specific to the region
- Execute ad hoc projects as needed
- Conduct frequent travel throughout Southeast Asia and periodic travel to Australia/New Zealand
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of retail construction experience
- Extensive proficiency with CAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Demonstrated expertise in retail construction, fit-out management, and store opening execution
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization skills

Skills
Experience
3 to 5 years of professional experience in retail construction and fit-out management, including demonstrated expertise in retail store projects, store opening execution, retail fixture development, architecture, and building/construction management. Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects in direct and wholesale retail environments.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Real Estate Development, Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
