Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute allocation strategies to optimize inventory distribution across stores and e-commerce channels, maximizing sell-through and minimizing aged stock.
  • Analyze weekly/monthly sell-through, stock cover and POS data to refine replenishment and markdown decisions.
  • Partner closely with merchants, planners, replenishment and store operations to align assortments, launch rollouts and promotional allocations.
  • Lead and mentor a small allocation team, setting priorities, managing workflow and ensuring consistent execution of allocation plans.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring transfers, returns and stock corrections; escalate system or process anomalies.
  • Prepare management reporting and present allocation recommendations to merchandising leadership to support business targets and seasonal cadence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning or inventory management with demonstrated analytical rigor.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an ability to translate sales data into actionable allocation plans.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling); comfort with large datasets and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present recommendations clearly to merchants and leadership.

Experience
