Coach seeks Assistant Manager, Allocation & Inventory Management in Seoul, Korea—1-year contract role managing omnichannel inventory strategies.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage allocation and replenishment activities across assigned channels and categories to maximize sales opportunities with healthy inventory flow
- Lead newness allocation to support monthly floorsets by translating assortment and buy plans into distribution strategies based on store door profile, sales history, and business priorities
- Execute demand-based allocation strategies ensuring appropriate quantities are allocated based on sales expectations and market demand patterns
- Develop and execute channel-specific inventory allocation strategies for brick-and-mortar and e-commerce businesses
- Monitor sales trends, inventory productivity, sell-through, and weeks of supply to make timely allocation decisions
- Rebalance inventory within and across markets based on product performance to minimize stock imbalances and maximize sales opportunities
- Build inventory plans for new store openings and events considering business demand and product strategies
- Conduct weekly reports analyzing inventory status by store, channel, category, and SKU to identify risks and opportunities
- Proactively identify inventory gaps, slow-moving stock, and replenishment issues, recommending actionable solutions
- Monitor inbound schedules, shipment priorities, and operational constraints to adjust allocation plans and coordinate execution timelines with logistics
- Partner with buying teams to align allocation strategy with assortment plans and maintain door profiling in the Location Management System
- Collaborate with logistics teams to improve inventory flow and execution speed
- Communicate allocation priorities, inventory risks, and action plans to retail sales and visual merchandising teams
- Participate in system enhancement projects and operational process improvements
- Ensure high standards of execution accuracy, timeline management, and operational follow-through
- Foster collaborative communication and proactive problem-solving within the team
Qualifications
- 2–6 years of prior experience in merchandise planning, allocation, distribution, or supply chain management
- Experience managing inventory across multiple channels including retail, outlet, and e-commerce
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to translate large datasets into actionable business insights and inventory strategies
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of allocation software (AllocateSmart), BI systems, and SAP preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships across functions
- Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and precision in inventory planning and shipment tracking
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ownership mindset for continuous business improvement with strong sense of urgency
- Comfort working in dynamic environments and adapting to changing organizational structures and business requirements
- Highly organized, resilient, and able to work under stress with a positive approach
- Fluent in English
Skills
Experience
2–6 years of professional experience in merchandise planning, allocation, distribution, or supply chain management. Prior exposure to multi-channel inventory management across retail, outlet, and e-commerce environments is preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent professional experience in inventory allocation or distribution may substitute.
