Tapestry, Inc. seeks an Assistant, Legal Affairs in New York to provide administrative support to legal leadership, manage calendars, and process invoices.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide complex calendar management for three Vice Presidents, including prioritization of meeting requests, resolution of scheduling conflicts, coordination of participants, and preparation of meeting logistics, agendas, and materials
  • Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and departmental documents with precision and professionalism
  • Manage email communications and filing systems to maintain organization and accessibility
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel and logistics, including visa applications, itineraries, flights, hotel arrangements, and preparation of travel and expense reports
  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on legal development meetings and projects; assist with assessment and prioritization of incoming issues and concerns
  • Assist with legal document review and analysis
  • Manage departmental systems and workflows to ensure operational efficiency
  • Assist with corporate subsidiary document preparation and coordination of signature requests
  • Establish legal vendors in Tapestry's vendor management systems, coordinate requests for third-party due diligence, and maintain accurate vendor, matter, and billing information
  • Process legal invoices and settlement payments, including routing for review, confirming matter coding, tracking payment status, troubleshooting discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with billing and payment procedures
  • Communicate and interact with cross-functional teams regarding fact-gathering and document/data collection
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors
  • Preserve confidentiality with respect to sensitive information and projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certifications
  • Superior judgment and professionalism with demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

  • Outstanding organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project-related work while handling concurrent administrative responsibilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook calendar management, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with vendor management, e-billing, invoice processing, and expense management systems
