Tapestry (Coach) in Minato-ku, Tokyo seeks an Assistant Buyer, Outlet to support outlet buying, reporting and pricing (full-time).
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and distribute sales and product performance reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence to buying, allocation, inventory teams and CJLT.
- Prepare sales and inventory analysis to support price changes and execute outlet-channel pricing updates in relevant systems.
- Support governance and maintenance of product MSRPs for the outlet channel.
- Collaborate closely with the Buying team and cross-functional partners to manage product calendars and store-level assortments.
- Create and distribute product knowledge materials and product lists for store teams; arrange product samples for in-store training.
- Assist in creating and maintaining the operational manual for buying procedures and related documentation.
- Support maintenance of store-level door profile data and the annual product calendar for Buying, Allocation, and Inventory Management.
- Assist with monthly sales, margin and inventory forecasting processes and support purchase order (PO) creation tasks.
- Conduct market and competitor trend research to inform buying decisions.
Qualifications
- Native or business-level Japanese (mandatory); business English is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills including SUMIF, PIVOT and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
- Previous experience in a retail or retail buying environment preferred.
- Comfortable and adaptable in fast-changing, ambiguous environments; action-oriented and logically minded.
- Positive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation and willingness to take on new challenges.

Experience
Prior experience in retail operations, merchandising or buying support is preferred; practical exposure to reporting, pricing execution or inventory forecasting is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, fashion merchandising, retail management or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
