Coach seeks an Assistant Buyer for North America men’s leather goods, bags, and specialty accessories, supporting omni-channel buying, assortment planning, business analysis, and inventory strategy. The role is full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly selling reports to recap and analyze business, recommend performance improvements, and identify opportunities.
- Partner with the Buyer to manage open-to-buy (OTB) across multiple departments and meet financial targets and SKU-level performance, sales, inventory, receipt, and margin metrics.
- Assist with quarterly buys to meet financial targets and support the global offer, with the potential to manage buys independently over time.
- Manage the SKU lifecycle from adoption through deletion, responding to in-season sales and learnings to determine forward strategies and actions.
- Build and maintain assortment tools and SKU counts season after season.
- Continuously analyze and assist with business reforecasting, recommending strategies to achieve plan, including adjustments to product flow and inventory management.
- Work with Inventory Management and Allocation to ensure distributions meet turn goals, support the marketing calendar, and maximize profitability.
- Inform category assortments for global merchants and design teams by analyzing product performance, customer feedback and data, consumer trends, the competitive landscape, and local market knowledge.
- Partner with Ecommerce Merchandising, Marketing, Product Knowledge, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations teams to create synergies across consumer touchpoints.
- Partner with field teams to gather qualitative feedback on products, customers, store environments, and competitors.
Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. required.
- Strong analytical and recap skills.
- Self-motivated and diligent in completing and initiating tasks.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player.
- Highly skilled in Excel and able to learn planning and buying systems.
- Buying, Allocation, or Planning experience strongly preferred.
