Tapestry seeks an Allocation Analyst in London, UK — hybrid role at the UK corporate office delivering merchandise allocation and inventory optimisation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandise allocation and replenishment plans across channels and stores to maximise sell-through and margin.
  • Analyse historic sell-through, demand patterns and inventory positions to inform allocation decisions and identify stock optimisation opportunities.
  • Translate commercial business plans and seasonal strategies into store- and channel-level allocation models and shipment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, Supply Chain and Store Operations to align allocations with launch calendars, promotions and transfers.
  • Create regular reporting and dashboards to track performance, forecast inventory needs, and support ad hoc commercial requests.
  • Monitor open-to-buy and inventory KPIs; recommend corrective actions including re-allocations, markdown cadence or emergency buys when required.
  • Support season open and mid-season allocation processes, including pre-season testing and post-launch adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Demonstrable experience in retail allocation, merchandise planning, inventory management or related analytical role.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail with proven ability to translate data into commercial decisions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional commercial teams in a multi-brand or omni-channel retail environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings to commercial stakeholders.

Skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros) SQL for data extraction and analysis Retail allocation and replenishment modelling Sell-through and inventory KPI analysis Reporting and dashboarding (experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI preferred)

Experience

Typically 1–3 years of hands-on experience in merchandise allocation, retail planning, inventory analysis or a related commercial analytics role within fashion or retail.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field preferred.
