Tapestry seeks an Accounting Analyst (Lease & General Accounting) in Singapore to manage lease accounting, month‑end close, and SOX compliance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day lease accounting operations, including lease abstraction, assessment of amendments and determination of appropriate accounting treatment under relevant standards.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of lease data within the financial system and support system enhancements to improve data integrity.
- Own components of the monthly close process: prepare journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations and produce variance analysis.
- Support completion of direct and indirect tax filings and payments on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
- Act as a primary contact for external auditors during statutory audits, providing timely and accurate supporting information.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local IFRS where relevant; implement and document SOX controls and internal control procedures.
- Identify and lead opportunities to leverage AI and automation (e.g., Copilot, robotic automation) to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Collaborate with regional Controlling and Accounting teams to provide cross‑coverage during peak close periods and participate in ad‑hoc projects such as system implementations and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within a multinational or multi‑brand retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with local IFRS accounting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in month‑end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
- Experience with SOX control documentation and internal control frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel); working knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
- Exposure to AI‑enabled or system‑driven automated processes, and familiarity with tools such as Copilot or robotic automation.
- Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels.

Experience
Minimum 2–3 years in an accounting or finance role with hands‑on exposure to general ledger activities, month‑end close, reconciliations and lease accounting; multinational or retail experience preferred.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
