TAG Heuer Madrid seeks experienced Third Category Watchmaker / Technician for comprehensive watch repair and maintenance work.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostics and prepare accurate quotations for all types of watches, both quartz and mechanical
- Determine spare parts requirements for each intervention and coordinate requests with the Spare Parts Department
- Perform essential maintenance on quartz watches, including battery replacements, water-resistance testing, crystal replacement, crown work, and hand adjustment
- Execute complex repairs on automatic mechanical movements, chronographs (standard and manufacture), and all TAG Heuer collection models
- Replace and adjust quartz and automatic movements with precision
- Perform bracelet repairs and adjustments to exacting standards
- Conduct rigorous post-repair quality checks on every restored watch, ensuring compliance with brand aesthetic and technical standards
- Monitor and provide constructive feedback on repairs carried out by subcontractors to ensure quality consistency
- Carefully package watches in repair cases for final shipment to customers
- Maintain repair return and quality-control return rates within defined performance targets
- Perform weekly maintenance of polishing and cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Provide direct customer support at the reception desk, offering technical information and advice when required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional watchmaking or horological technician experience
- Demonstrated expertise in quartz watch maintenance, diagnosis, and repair
- Knowledge of and/or experience servicing automatic mechanical movements, chronographs, and manufacture movements
- Experience in polishing techniques and case and bracelet refurbishment
- Proven track record of conducting post-repair quality checks meeting luxury brand standards
- Familiarity with TAG Heuer product collection or equivalent luxury timepiece experience
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in watch repair and maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in both quartz and mechanical watchmaking. Proven experience in quality control, diagnostics, and the ability to work on complex timepieces including chronographs and automatic movements is essential.
Education
Formal watchmaking or horological training, or equivalent hands-on apprenticeship in watch repair and servicing. Industry certifications in watchmaking or horology are advantageous.
