Role & Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of watch repair processes to the highest standard, including case and bracelet de‑casing, component inspection and troubleshooting.
- Prepare watch cases and bracelets for polishing, conduct ultrasonic cleaning and re‑sealing operations, and perform water‑resistance testing.
- Quality‑control finished work to ensure technical and aesthetic standards are met and achieve individual and departmental workload targets within agreed timeframes.
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery in line with safety procedures; keep workshop equipment clean and organised.
- Identify worn or defective components and support part jobs, guarantee work and other aftersales tasks as required.
- Maintain up‑to‑date product and brand knowledge; act as a brand ambassador by delivering outstanding service, completing trainings and supporting colleagues.
- Communicate proactively with team members and management to support wider business needs and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the UK (required).
- Vocational qualification in horology/watchmaking, technical apprenticeship, or equivalent practical training preferred.
- Manual dexterity and close attention to detail.
- Demonstrable ability to prioritise, plan workload and meet targets under deadline pressure.
- Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work flexibly as part of a busy team.
- Commitment to ongoing technical development and adherence to health & safety procedures.
Skills
Experience
Some experience working within a busy team environment is required; prior experience in a similar role or an industry requiring fine dexterity (watchmaking, jewellery repair or precision mechanics) is desirable.
Education
Vocational qualification in horology/watchmaking, a technical apprenticeship, or equivalent practical training is preferred.
