TAG Heuer seeks a Senior Direct Buyer (Watch Components) in Cornol, Switzerland — senior procurement role at the industrial watch case manufacturing site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and deploy the procurement strategy for the assigned components portfolio in alignment with the site director and corporate purchasing objectives.
  • Secure supply continuity by achieving target prices while respecting quality and lead‑time requirements.
  • Select, develop and manage the supplier panel (internal and external), adapting commercial agreements to forecast changes and market dynamics.
  • Act as the primary interface between suppliers and internal functions (R&D/Development, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Controlling, CSR) and lead commercial negotiations that balance short‑term targets with long‑term partnerships.
  • Conduct purchasing analyses (variance, risk, cost estimates, ROI) and lead Make‑or‑Buy studies to support strategic site decisions, including potential reintegration of processes and related CAPEX.
  • Define, monitor and report on procurement KPIs and lead continuous‑improvement projects both on site and with external partners.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Procurement (Master Achats), micromechanics or engineering school.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within an industrial or watchmaking environment.
  • Proven negotiation skills and strong commercial acumen with an ethical approach to supplier relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously in an industrial site and to collaborate transversely with central purchasing teams (La Chaux‑de‑Fonds).
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); professional fluency in additional languages advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to unite multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.
