TAG Heuer seeks an experienced Quality Manager in Tramelan, Switzerland to lead quality management and compliance at its watchmaking manufacture.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with Swiss watchmaking industry standards and LVMH group requirements
- Manage quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, forms, and records; ensure regulatory and normative compliance
- Plan, organize, and conduct internal and external audits; track and analyze key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and establish continuous improvement plans
- Oversee the reliability laboratory, including UV testing and material analysis
- Supervise quality control activities at all production stages from raw material receipt through finished product shipment; verify product conformance to technical and aesthetic specifications, control plans, and customer requirements
- Lead root cause analysis of non-conformities, defects, and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Conduct risk analyses (FMEA) and surveillance plan management; ensure calibration and verification of measuring and control instruments
- Collaborate with production, development, methods, and procurement teams to improve processes, reduce costs of poor quality, and optimize customer satisfaction
- Support validation of new products and manufacturing processes; implement problem-solving tools and train teams in quality best practices
- Provide technical quality support to customers and suppliers; manage a team of seven quality professionals
Qualifications
- Degree in Quality Engineering, Advanced Technical Diploma in Quality Management, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Quality Manager or in a similar role, preferably within the Swiss watchmaking industry
- Mastery of watchmaking standards and quality management tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D methodologies)
- Proficiency in quality control techniques including dimensional metrology and non-destructive testing
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes specific to watchmaking
- Familiarity with dimensional measuring instruments and quality management software systems
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Quality Manager or in an equivalent role within manufacturing environments, ideally within the Swiss watchmaking or precision mechanical engineering sectors. Proven track record of developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems, managing quality teams, conducting audits, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Advanced Technical Diploma (HES/FH level) in Quality Management, or equivalent professional qualification in quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, or related discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Tramelan, Bern, Switzerland, with easy access to Biel/Bienne.
