TAG Heuer seeks an Intellectual Property & Marketing Counsel in Signy, Switzerland — full-time, permanent legal role advising on IP and marketing contracts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Implement and support the Maison’s intellectual property protection strategy across trademarks, designs & models and domain names in coordination with external counsel and global stakeholders.
- Manage and contribute to worldwide IP portfolios (filings, renewals, monitoring) and assist with pre-contentious, contentious and administrative IP actions alongside external advisers.
- Provide proactive legal advice to Product teams on naming, design clearance, availability analyses and risk assessments to secure creative assets and launches.
- Advise Marketing on the legal structuring and clearance of global campaigns, activations, events, influencer collaborations, sponsorships and the use of AI-generated content.
- Draft, review and negotiate marketing-related contracts including partnerships, co-branding, licensing, sponsorship, ambassador agreements and supplier/service contracts.
- Develop and deliver guidelines, trainings and awareness initiatives to operational teams to ensure IP-compliant practices across the organisation.
- Conduct ongoing legal and regulatory monitoring on IP law and adjacent issues (unfair competition, ambush marketing, anti-counterfeiting, advertising rules).
Qualifications
- Advanced law degree with specialization in intellectual property (Master of Law or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department, preferably with international exposure and experience in luxury or premium goods.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and marketing contracts.
- Fluent written and spoken French and English.
- Autonomy, strong legal drafting skills, commercial awareness and the ability to translate legal risk into business-focused recommendations.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of combined experience in private practice and/or in-house legal roles, with exposure to international IP prosecution, enforcement and marketing-related contractual work; experience in the luxury or premium goods sectors is highly desirable.
Education
Master of Law (LL.M. or equivalent) with a specialization in intellectual property.
