Swiss Timing seeks Electronics Technician in Leipzig, Germany for precision timing device production, maintenance, and international event support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Participate in small-batch production and prototype development of precision timing devices for internal and external customers
- Test, commission, and deploy new timing systems, devices, and components
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment
- Execute repairs and diagnostic troubleshooting for internal and external applications
- Prepare and verify customer installation configurations
- Support core departments including Sports Services, iDEV, and Maintenance & Repairs
- Travel internationally (approximately 5–10%) to oversee and maintain systems at major sporting events such as the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Games
- Execute all tasks according to established test procedures or develop new protocols as needed
- Manage materials, perform electrical testing, conduct calibrations, and complete quality control checks
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship or formal training in electronics
- Proficiency with measurement instruments and diagnostic equipment
- Competency with Windows operating systems and network technologies
- Fluent in German and English, both written and oral
- Strong analytical and pragmatic problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability
