Swatch is hiring a Store Manager in San Diego (University Town Center) to lead boutique operations and sales for the Swatch brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead all facets of the University Town Center boutique’s daily operations, including sales performance, visual merchandising and client experience.
- Recruit, train and coach a high-performing retail team; set sales targets, conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.
- Drive revenue and margin through disciplined sales management, clienteling, inventory control and effective merchandising execution.
- Oversee store administration: schedules, payroll compliance, cash handling, loss prevention and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage P&L responsibilities at the store level — monitor KPIs, forecast demand, control expenses and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the principal ambassador for the brand: deliver elevated luxury service, resolve escalated client issues and cultivate long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with regional leadership on marketing initiatives, product launches and events at the University Town Center location.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail, ideally within watches, jewelry or luxury fashion (typically 3+ years managing a boutique or store).
- Demonstrable track record of meeting sales targets, driving KPIs and coaching sales teams to sustained performance.
- Strong knowledge of luxury customer service principles and clienteling methodologies.
- Operational competence with inventory control, cash reconciliation, scheduling and loss-prevention protocols.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; professional presentation and client-facing gravitas.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends, holidays and special events.

Experience
Typically requires several years of progressive retail management experience, with prior exposure to luxury watch, jewelry or premium-brand boutiques and a proven record of meeting sales and operational objectives.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, retail management or related field preferred.
