Swatch is hiring a Sales Assistant in Rome (Cola di Rienzo) — temporary contract, part-time (30 hrs) or full-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional face-to-face customer service and personalised clienteling to build long-term relationships and maximise sales conversion.
- Achieve individual and boutique sales targets through proactive selling, upselling and cross-selling of watch collections.
- Maintain boutique presentation and visual merchandising in accordance with brand guidelines, ensuring product displays are immaculate and on-brand.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, process transactions, gift-wrapping and returns, and perform end-of-day cash reconciliation.
- Manage stockroom operations including inventory counts, stock replenishment and coordination of deliveries with store management.
- Provide product expertise on watch mechanisms, materials and care; advise customers on service and after-sales options.
- Support promotional activities, in-store events and local marketing initiatives to drive footfall and brand visibility.
- Comply with company policies, loss-prevention procedures and health & safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven customer-service orientation with polished interpersonal skills and a professional demeanour appropriate for a luxury retail environment.
- Availability for part-time (30 hours) or full-time schedules and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required by store operations.
- Legal right to work in Italy and ability to commit to a temporary contract.
- Strong numerical accuracy for cash handling and transaction reconciliation.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; proficiency in Italian is advantageous and working knowledge of English is desirable.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, luxury goods or watchmaking is a plus.

Preferably at least 1 year of retail sales experience, ideally within watches, jewellery or luxury fashion; prior boutique or brand-store experience is highly desirable.
Education
Secondary school diploma or equivalent; vocational retail or luxury sales training advantageous.
