Swatch is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Advisor for its Bluewater Shopping Centre team, working 20 hours per week. The role focuses on sales, exceptional customer service, product knowledge, store security and upkeep, cash handling, and visual merchandising.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide customers with an exceptional Swatch and Flik Flak experience in store.
- Achieve sales goals and exceed customer expectations through enthusiastic service and selling.
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly manner, delivering a memorable experience.
- Know the current and past product range and explain product details to customers.
- Maintain knowledge of watch functions and other products, and provide reliable sales and customer-service information.
- Assist with merchandise displays as directed.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual store sales targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, by email and over the phone.
- Help control shrinkage through attentive shop-floor conduct, careful merchandise handling, accident prevention, and proper use of till and administrative procedures.
- Maintain awareness of products and security hot spots.
- Follow company procedures for opening and closing the store.
- Process deliveries correctly.
- Handle transactions responsibly and securely, including till functions, cashing up, payments, cash, credit cards and international currencies.
- Keep the store, including staff areas and both the shop floor and back of house, clean and presentable.
- Maintain awareness of health and safety and uphold visual merchandising standards.
- Follow company policies and regulations and attend briefings as directed by the line manager.
- Conduct themselves professionally with customers and colleagues, communicating clearly and understanding international customers’ customs and cultures.
- Attend regular training days and proactively learn about new products, applying training and instructions.
- Provide customers with sound product knowledge.
Qualifications
- Positive and outgoing, with the ability to converse naturally with customers.
- Passionate about exceptional customer service, committed to understanding customer needs and expectations, and motivated to exceed them.
- Adaptable, with the ability to build strong working relationships in small teams.
- Enthusiastic about learning about Swatch products and developing a technical understanding of the product ranges.
- Retail and/or fashion accessories experience preferred.
- Willingness to accommodate shifts, extended trading hours and late finishes for events.
- Experience serving international customers preferred.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
- Commercially focused, with a desire to exceed KPIs.
