Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform systematic diagnostics and fault analyses on mechanical and electronic timepieces using industry-standard timing machines and diagnostic instruments.
  • Disassemble and reassemble movements and modules for inspection, measurement and testing while maintaining full traceability and documentation of findings.
  • Execute electrical and electromechanical tests using multimeters, oscilloscopes and dedicated service benches to isolate component-level defects.
  • Recommend and document repair or replacement actions; prepare detailed technical reports and parts requests for the service workflow.
  • Undertake bench repairs and adjustments within scope, including regulation, lubrication, and minor component replacement, escalating complex repairs to senior watchmakers.
  • Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment and workshop test rigs to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with service advisors, parts logistics and quality control to ensure turnaround times, service standards and brand presentation are met.
  • Adhere to brand-specific technical procedures, cleanliness protocols and health & safety requirements in a controlled workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or vocational qualification in watchmaking/horology (WOSTEP or equivalent) or electromechanical technician certification.
  • Proven aptitude in micro-mechanics, fine-motor skills and working under magnification.
  • Familiarity with watch movements (mechanical and quartz) and an understanding of basic electronics.
  • Strong attention to detail with rigorous documentation practices and commitment to quality standards.

Experience

Vocational diploma in watchmaking/horology (WOSTEP or equivalent) or relevant technical certification in electromechanics.
