Role & Responsibilities

• Execute full-service movement restoration including dismantling, component repair or replacement, precision cleaning, reassembly, rate checking and adjustment
• Assemble case components and conduct waterproofness verification to ensure case integrity
• Analyze repair requirements and develop appropriate methodologies to address movement defects and complications
• Design, fabricate or deploy specialized tools and processes to resolve technical challenges during servicing
• Collaborate with workshop team members to maintain equipment functionality, replenish consumable inventory and optimize operational efficiency
• Verify completion of all required services and confirm watches are fully functional and ready for customer delivery

Qualifications

• Completion of watchmaking apprenticeship with satisfactory results (minimum requirement for full repair capability)
• Advanced certification in complicated watch movements or completion of post-apprenticeship training such as WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Programme) for specialist repair work
• Demonstrated expertise in servicing mechanical, quartz and chronograph movements
• Strong team collaboration and communication abilities
• Proven customer service orientation and commitment to quality excellence
• Capacity to manage pressure and maintain productivity in high-volume service environments

Skills

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience servicing and repairing watches across diverse movement types, with proven capability to execute both routine maintenance and complex technical repairs on mechanical, automatic, and quartz-based timepieces.

Education

Completion of a recognized watchmaking apprenticeship or equivalent technical certification (e.g., TAFE Basic Certificate in Watch Repair for partial repair roles; WOSTEP or equivalent advanced certification preferred for specialist repair positions).

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 85,000 per annum.
