Swatch Group seeks an experienced Watchmaker in Seattle, WA to assemble and regulate precision timepiece movements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assemble and regulate watch movements with precision to exacting chronometric standards
- Perform technical inspections, diagnostics, and quality control assessments on finished watches and components
- Conduct preventive maintenance and restoration work on mechanical and electronic timepieces
- Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure adherence to brand specifications and quality benchmarks
- Document all work performed, maintaining meticulous records of repairs, adjustments, and component replacements
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in mechanical watch assembly and movement regulation
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and watchmaking tools
- Strong understanding of horology principles and watch mechanisms
- Demonstrated ability to work to micron-level tolerances
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality
Skills
Experience
Substantial experience in watchmaking, movement assembly, or horological repair, preferably within a luxury watch manufacturing environment or certified watchmaking program.
Education
Completion of a formal watchmaking apprenticeship or horological training program (such as the American Watchmakers Institute certification or equivalent international qualification) is required.
