Watchmaker position at Swatch Group in Miami, FL — full-service watch repair and maintenance across multiple brands.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform full-service maintenance on watch movements, including dismantling, component replacement and repair, cleaning, reassembly, rate checking, and adjustment
- Execute technical repair and maintenance on multiple watch brands according to established brand guidelines
- Analyze movement defects and determine appropriate repair methodology and specialized techniques
- Develop and implement adequate tools and processes to address complications arising during the repair cycle
- Collaborate with workshop team members to maintain equipment, tools, and consumable inventory
- Verify completion of all required services and ensure watches are fully functional and ready for customer delivery
Qualifications
- Watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair (TAFE or equivalent) for partial repair work
- Completion of watchmaking apprenticeship with satisfactory results for complete repair work
- Specialist knowledge of complicated movements or completion of post-apprenticeship advanced training such as WOSTEP for specialist repair
- Demonstrated team collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Commitment to excellence and quality standards

Skills
Experience
Watchmaking apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in horological repair; demonstrated experience servicing mechanical and quartz movements, chronographs, and other watch complications across multiple brands.
Education
Watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair (TAFE or equivalent); post-apprenticeship advanced training such as WOSTEP preferred for specialist repair work.
