Swatch Group seeks a Watchmaker in Miami, FL — skilled horologist to service and assemble luxury timepieces at the company service centre.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis, disassembly, repair, cleaning, lubrication and reassembly of mechanical and quartz watches to brand service standards.
  • Regulate and time movements using timing machines; adjust escapements, hairsprings and balance systems to ensure chronometric performance.
  • Execute battery replacements, gasket changes and pressure tests to confirm water resistance specifications.
  • Maintain meticulous service records and part inventories using company documentation and tracking systems.
  • Carry out final quality control and cosmetic refinishing; ensure each repaired or assembled timepiece meets visual and functional brand criteria.
  • Operate and maintain workshop equipment (timing machine, ultrasonic cleaner, microscope, staking tools) and uphold a clean, ESD-safe bench environment.
  • Collaborate with after-sales, parts and logistics teams to prioritize repairs, source components and manage turnaround times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process standardization, repair procedures and technical training for junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma or formal training in watchmaking, horology school or equivalent technical certification.
  • Professional certification such as WOSTEP, CW21 or equivalent is preferred.
  • Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine-motor skills; proficiency using loupe, microscope and precision hand tools.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and quartz watch movements, escapements, and chronometer regulation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to document repairs accurately according to brand protocols.
  • Ability to work in a controlled bench environment and adhere to safety and quality standards.
