Role & Responsibilities

• Perform full-service movement repair including dismantling, component replacement or repair, cleaning, reassembly, rate check and adjustment
• Execute technical repair and service on multiple watch brands according to brand-specific guidelines
• Analyze movements and determine appropriate repair methodology
• Develop and utilize adequate tools and processes to address repair complications
• Coordinate with workshop team to maintain equipment, manage tools, and order consumables
• Verify completion of all required services and ensure watches are ready for delivery to customers

Qualifications

• Watchmaking apprenticeship completion or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair from TAFE course
• Demonstrated ability to service mechanical, quartz, and chronograph movements
• For specialist repair roles: specialist knowledge of complicated movements or completion of post-apprenticeship coursework such as WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Education Programme)
• Team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service orientation
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work quality

Skills

Experience

Completion of a watchmaking apprenticeship with satisfactory results required for full repair capability. Candidates with specialist knowledge or completion of advanced training programmes such as WOSTEP are preferred for complex movement repair assignments.

Education

Watchmaking apprenticeship or Basic Certificate in Watch Repair (TAFE). Specialist certifications or post-apprenticeship training (such as WOSTEP) preferred for advanced positions.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 85,000 per annum.
