Swatch Group is hiring a Watchmaker in Los Angeles, CA to service and assemble luxury mechanical and quartz movements.
Role & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, disassemble, repair and reassemble mechanical and quartz watch movements to brand quality standards.
- Perform regulation and timing adjustments using timing machines; ensure accuracy and chronometric performance.
- Execute case assembly, hand and dial fitting, crystal replacement and water-resistance testing; complete final quality control checks.
- Document repairs and service work in the after-sales system; maintain service records and parts inventory accuracy.
- Follow technical schematics and service bulletins; escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or engineering.
- Maintain a clean, organized bench and care for specialised micromechanical tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- Formal watchmaking qualification (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Certificate, AWCI or equivalent) or proven equivalent apprenticeship.
- Demonstrable experience working on luxury mechanical and quartz movements; familiarity with service procedures and timing adjustments.
- Excellent manual dexterity, fine-motor skills and sustained visual acuity for micromechanical work.
- Strong understanding of water-resistance protocols, case and movement handling, and quality-control criteria.
- Capacity to read technical diagrams and follow precise service instructions; reliable record-keeping skills.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands-on watchmaking experience in a manufacture or after-sales/service centre supporting luxury watch brands; experience with both mechanical and quartz calibres preferred.
Education
Watchmaking diploma or certification (WOSTEP, Swiss Federal Certificate, AWCI or equivalent) or completed apprenticeship in horology.
