Swatch Group offers six Watchmaker Apprentice places in Pforzheim, starting 1 September 2027, for a three-year dual vocational training programme with the option of parallel WOSTEP training and an internationally recognised certificate. Training includes micromechanics, thermal processes, measurement and testing, watch construction, and a trainee programme in the Customer Service ateliers.
Role & Responsibilities
- Complete a three-year dual vocational training programme at a Nicolas G. Hayek Watchmaking School.
- Undertake parallel WOSTEP training to earn an internationally recognised certificate.
- Train in micromechanics and thermal working processes.
- Learn measurement and testing procedures to track development.
- Study the interiors of electronic and mechanical watches.
- After acquiring foundational skills, begin a trainee programme in the Customer Service ateliers.
Qualifications
- Good Realschulabschluss or higher.
- Interest in and enthusiasm for the jewellery, watchmaking and retail industries.
- Enjoyment of working with precision components and very small parts.
- Strong fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Technical understanding, spatial awareness and an interest in physics.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to achieve objectives as part of the local team.
