The Swatch Group seeks a skilled Watchmaker and Polisher to join its service workshop in Besançon. The successful candidate will manage watch repairs, case assembly, and polishing operations across multiple brands within the group's portfolio, working to precise technical specifications and quality standards. This permanent position demands meticulous attention to detail, mechanical proficiency, and a passion for horology.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform polishing, satin-finishing, and case work on watch casings and bracelets according to client specifications and brand standards
- Clean watch cases, components, and bracelets in compliance with brand procedures and quality directives
- Maintain polishing machines, washing equipment, and associated tools in optimal working condition
- Execute watch repairs and case assembly (emboîtage) with precision and adherence to technical brand directives
- Conduct quality control inspections on all completed interventions
- Report any incidents or defects immediately to management
- Adhere to production deadlines and productivity targets set by supervisors
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols throughout all operations
- Provide technical support to other workshop teams as needed
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental performance
Qualifications
- Minimum CAP (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle) in Horology or equivalent horological qualification
- Proven experience in watchmaking, with preference for service center or after-sales workshop background
- Demonstrated proficiency in polishing and case finishing techniques
- Strong understanding of mechanical and quartz watch mechanics
- Familiarity with multiple watch brands and their technical specifications

Minimum one year of successful professional experience in watchmaking and repair, ideally within a watch service center or after-sales department
Education
Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle (CAP) in Horology or equivalent professional qualification
