The Swatch Group's Besançon Service Centre seeks a Watch Diagnostician to assess all customer timepieces received at the facility. The role encompasses identifying watch brands, calibres, references, and bracelets; establishing the condition of each piece and determining required interventions; and adhering strictly to technical directives specific to each brand to ensure diagnostic precision. The position also includes responding to client inquiries regarding initial assessments and performing targeted interventions such as bracelet replacement, battery changes, and data entry when necessary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on all customer watches received at the Besançon Service Centre
  • Identify watch brand, calibre, reference number, and bracelet specifications
  • Assess the overall condition of each timepiece and determine the scope of required work
  • Apply technical brand-specific directives to ensure accurate and precise diagnostics
  • Address client clarification requests and explain the initial diagnostic proposal
  • Perform targeted interventions including bracelet replacement, battery changes, and similar procedures
  • Complete data entry and encoding tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Technical education or equivalent qualification in horology
  • Demonstrated passion for watchmaking and the Swatch Group's product portfolio
  • Proven experience in a similar watch diagnostics or repair role
