Swatch Group seeks a Syndikusanwalt (In‑House Counsel) in Eschborn, Germany — senior corporate lawyer for the German subsidiary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to the German subsidiary on corporate law, commercial contracts, distribution and agency matters.
  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (sales, distribution, licensing, NDAs, service and supplier contracts).
  • Support and coordinate litigation and dispute resolution with external counsel, including case strategy and budget oversight.
  • Advise on intellectual property, brand protection and enforcement matters in collaboration with Group IP teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable German and EU laws (competition, consumer protection, product law, data protection/GDPR) and assist with internal compliance measures.
  • Assist with corporate governance, corporate transactions and day‑to‑day company law matters (board/management queries, corporate filings).
  • Work cross‑functionally with commercial, supply chain and product teams to preempt legal risk and enable business initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer admitted to the German bar (Rechtsanwalt) with sound knowledge of German and EU commercial law.
  • Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage external counsel.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property protection and consumer/ product compliance relevant to the watch industry.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate legal risk into commercial options.
  • High level of personal organisation and capacity to handle multiple matters under tight deadlines.
