Swatch Group seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Bienne, Switzerland to design and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. 5+ years required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain campus, backbone, and industrial network solutions
- Serve as the technical expert for routing, switching, wireless technologies, and network segmentation
- Drive network performance, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Translate business requirements into sustainable and scalable network services
- Contribute to network standards, best practices, and technical documentation
- Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
- Participate in technology evaluations and infrastructure evolution projects
- Provide 3rd level support for complex incidents and critical issues
- Fulfill Engineer on Duty responsibilities according to the planned schedule
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering within enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in enterprise networking technologies, including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco DNA Center, BGP, OSPF, Wireless LAN, and network segmentation
- Experience with WAN, MAN, MPLS, and IP routing infrastructures
- Good understanding of network security principles, including Fortinet, NAC, segmentation, and secure access solutions
- Experience with network automation and programmability using Python, APIs, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization tools
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, Fortinet NSE, or CompTIA Network+ are an asset
- Understanding of industrial networking environments (OT) is an asset
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in Network Engineering within enterprise environments, with demonstrated expertise in design, implementation, and management of complex network infrastructures across distributed organizations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent qualification.
